Join us for Dappled Fern's first ever crochet along!

We'll meet weekly at Dappled Fern to offer structure, encouragement, community, and  trouble shooting as you make your very own Arizona Sweater. This intermediate-level pattern from Brianna K Designs uses worsted weight yarn. We suggest Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino, Malabrigo Rios, Berroco Ultra Alpaca, or Farmer's Daughter PishkunAlthough it looks complicated, the pattern uses fairly simple stitches and would be a great first crocheted sweater.

This group is hosted by Teresa Shannon, an avid local crocheter who made the Dappled Fern sample pictured above during a week-long road trip this summer...and Dorothy Broomall who at this point considers crochet to be a strange, inscrutable magic but wants to hang out anyway.

What's included:

4 group sessions in Dappled Fern's cozy maker's studio
Option to attend online sessions instead if you can't make an in-person session.

Supplies you'll need (not included):

Arizona Sweater pattern
Crochet hook: H (5mm)

Skills you'll use / learn:

blo -back loop only
ch -chain
est st pat – established stitch pattern
flo -front loop only
sc – single crochet
sc3tog – single crochet three sts together
ssc – split single crochet
st(s) -stitch(es)

Note: Sample shown in photo above is size medium. With my 44" bust, I would go up one size for 0" positive ease or two sizes for 4" positive ease.

This group needs 8 people to run. If we do not meet the minimum, you will have the option to join the online group or receive a refund for the crochet along registration.

Stop by Dappled Fern for help choosing a size and selecting yarn. We love helping people put projects together!
