Knit the Easy Cozy Hat with big, squishy Malabrigo Rasta yarn in this supportive group hosted by Dappled Fern owner, Dorothy Broomall. This pattern was designed by local Jaime Rex of North Road Knits and is one of my favorite easy knitting projects.
Participants should have basic experience with casting on, knit stitch, and casting off to participate in this class.
This class is structured and priced so that you can choose any 3 of the 4 class dates to attend and still learn all the skills needed to complete this hat. Or heck, come to all 4 and get some extra support!
Classes 1 and 2: Learn to purl / Alternating knit and purl stitches to create brim ribbing.
Classes 3 and 4: Decreasing stitches / Finishing
Once you master ribbing at the beginning of the class, this chunky hat will fly of your needles. It's a great project for keeping your hands busy at holiday gatherings and makes for easy hand-made gifts!
You will learn how to:
-Purl stitch
-Alternate knit and purl stitch make ribbing
-Fix dropped st
-Weave in ends
-Wash and block knitwear.

Note the needle sizes used for this pattern were also used in the last two Learn to Knit classes at Dappled Fern, so you may already have them!
