Introducing November Knit Camp! A weekend of knitting, saunas, massage, and hearty home cooked food with Dorothy and Dappled Fern Fibers in Lutsen, MN.
November on the North Shore means tawny cattails, striking skies, and wild wave. It's liminal time when the pace of life slows down and we settle back into ourselves.
At this new kitting retreat, shop owner Dorothy Broomall will hold the same warm, welcoming space you’ve come to know at Dappled Fern…it’s just you don’t have to go home!
We'll stay at Ski Hill Cabins and Saunas, in Lutsen, MN. These Nordic modern cabins opened earlier this year and were such a delight when we stayed there for Spring Knit! Our gentle itinerary will give you plenty of time to knit, connect, and hibernate.
Each cabin offers a spacious living room where we cozy up to knit, full kitchen, two full bathrooms, fire circle, and private sauna. Accommodations include main-floor single room (California king bed), main floor bunk room (queen above queen bunk beds), and shared loft (two full beds in loft accessible by ships ladder).
If you've never been to one of our Knit Camps, this would be a great one to try! Our 3rd annual September Knit Camp sold out in minutes. Since November Knit Camp is new, there isn't a last year's cohort to get first dibs so you'll have a good chance of snagging a spot!

Whatever you want! I find this is the best way to welcome all levels of knitters and enjoy the inspiration of all the amazing things people make. As it gets closer, I'll share featured patterns to consider if you'd like to knit along with me this fall!

Accommodations:
- Single King $1040 (3 spots)
- Shared Loft (accessible by ships ladder) 2 full beds $640 each (6 spots)
- Shared Bunked 2 queens $640 each (6 spots)
- Day Pass (stay offsite, join during the day) $380 (5 spots)
Optional add ons:
- Massage. This add on will be available the week before Knit Camp.
Day Pass Details:
This option allows you to stay offsite and join us during the day for the following:
- Friday 5-8pm (dinner)
- Saturday 10am-8pm (lunch and dinner)
- Sunday 10am-12pm (lunch)

THE FINE PRINT:
- Full payment is due at the time of booking.
- Cancellation made on or before October 1, 2024 will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations after October 1, 2024 will receive a refund if we are able to fill your spot. Alternately, you are welcome to send a friend in your place or donate the spot for us to fill with someone in our community who could use a break.
- Please share the love, not the bugs. That goes for Covid and colds. If you are sick, stay home and send a friend in your place. We will send home anyone with symptoms to protect others in attendance and no refund will be given.
- Pets are not allowed per property policy.
- Folks who attend will get first dibs if we host this retreat next year!
