Crochet Club - Teen / Pre-teen
Tuesdays 1-3pm | June 13 - August 22
Ages 11 - 18
$80 for summer series or $10 cash drop in per week.
A space for kids to crochet and connect this summer at Dappled Fern Fibers yarn shop in downtown Grand Marais, MN! This group is hosted by Amelia Mattson (Cook County High School student) with support from Dorothy Broomall (Dappled Fern Owner) and other yarn shop staff. Amelia will teach crochet basics while guiding kids through the process of making a granny-square bag, a frog, and a cute little succulent plant. No experience needed!
Dappled Fern will provide a grab bag of yarn. Kids are also welcome to bring their own yarn or purchase additional yarn from Dappled Fern.
Supplies needed: Crochet hook (sizes H8, I9, J10, or K)
Bring your own hook(s) or purchase one from Dappled Fern
$10 drop in per week (no online registration needed for drop in's - just bring $10 cash when you arrive) or save a bit of money with $80 registration for the whole summer (register online below or at the shop in person. No refunds). We will also consider trade of help stocking shelves, winding yarn, and cleaning at the shop in exchange for attendance.
Parents welcome.
If you are sick (even if it's "just a cold") please stay home and join us next time. This is important to me as someone with a sensitive immune system and a small business that I have to close when I get sick.
No session on 7/4 - Happy 4th of July!
See you soon!
