Back when I first came to Grand Marais, I was really lonely. When my husband had to leave town one weekend, I was dreading the solitary hours so I worked up the courage to invite everyone I knew to a Hygge Party. Come just as you are, I said, maybe even in your pjs. Bring knitting or crafts. Drop in to say hi or curl up for the duration. We’ll leave our shoes and phones at the door just for awhile and be cozy together. And do you know what? My house was full that night!
This free, drop in fiber circle at Dappled Fern yarn shop is reminiscent of that first Hygge Party. Slip on cozy clothes, bring a simple project that doesn't need much attention, and settle in to craft together. This group is gently facilitated by Dappled Fern staff.
