Join us for Spring Knit Camp, a knitting retreat hosted by Dorothy Broomall, Dappled Fern Owner. Our gentle itinerary features knitting circles, saunas, hikes, naps, and yummy meals.
This year we’re featuring Sister Weekend Yarn!
You’ll get to meet Kari and Beth, the sisters behind this new feel-good Minnesota dye studio who channel their love of cozy knitting weekends together into a their beautiful hand-dyed yarn. They’ve created a special line of yarn celebrating the North Shore to unveils at Knit Camp.
Ski Hill Cabins is our base camp for the weekend. There Nordic modern cabins offer spacious living rooms where we can cozy up to knit, full kitchens, two full bathrooms, fire circles, and private saunas. Accommodations include main-floor single room (king bed), main floor shared bunk room (queen above queen bunk beds), and shared loft (two full beds in loft accessible by ships ladder).
You’ll have plenty of time to knit, relax, and connect, and I have a feeling you’ll leave this retreat feeling rested, rejuvenated, and inspired.

About Sister Weekend Yarn
After a decade of getting together only a few times per year, Beth and Kari began to make a concerted effort to get together for sister weekend every month (or sometimes two).
Sister weekends are what dreams are made of: comfy clothes, knitting, dreaming, snacking, relaxing, crafting, bingeing all the shows… and every time we got together we talked about a different kind of life. One where we enjoy our days whether we are at work or not. One where we have time in our day for exercise, healthy cooking, spending time together, and, of course, yarn.
So this is us. Two sisters creating beautiful yarn and turning sister weekend into the everyday.
